Hotel La Cisterna - San Gimignano

The rooms with a massive shared terrace, balcony plus a great view.

loved it. this hotel was charming old and fabulous in every respect, had outstandingly accommodating staff at the reception desk. our venue room was huge and panoramic with balcony. the food for brunch was great in the terrace restaurant.

We didn't like that there was ice machine missing.

Wonderful staff, great breakfast, perfect location, beautiful views. We loved staying there. Just be sure to park outside of town at one of the many parking lots and then walk or take the bus into the main town square where the hotel is located. We drove up into the main town square and it was super stressful navigating the narrow hilly streets filled with people. You'll love staying there.

Came here for 1 night with my family, had a just perfect stay. I thoroughly enjoyed their marvellous breakfast with excellent coffee, great view plus salami. The hotel was in a central location right across the valley.

The setting was quite amazing and fab within easy reach of a collegiate church.

Perfect location. The room had a wonderful balcony overlooking the hillside. the room was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious would highly recomend

One woman at the front desk was not so friendly. If you asked a question it was like an inpositiion

Fine breakfast views

We absolutely loved this hotel, it is just wonderful! It is located in the centre of the town a short bus ride from Poggibonsi sg station. We originally booked a room with views of the countryside, which was stunning but I then asked if we could upgrade to a room with a balcony and for the extra money we ended up with a huge terrace. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff are first class and very helpful! We can't recommend this hotel more highly, we loved it and will tell all our friends!

The only criticism was that the wifi connection did not work in our room but did in the lobby. The hotel has Internet access (very fast) which costs 1 euro per day!

Our room had a balcony. It was lovely to sit outdoors during our stay.

We parked our car in Lot 3 and WALKED up the hill with our suitcases. Not an easy trip for two Senior Citizens. The staff person at the desk did not give us ANY information about the included breakfast regarding times, did not offer ANY information about the internet password or give us any indication where to locate our room.

Had one of two balcony rooms overlooking the square--room 71--loved waking to the bells, etc. Another in my party had a panoramic room overlooking the countryside--room 83--had a shared large patio/balcony with 4 other rooms. Breakfast was adequate and included in the room rate.
